About Us

We have been running May Blossom Farm as a smallholding for six years, raising pigs, sheep and goats. We love the time we spend at the farm. It helps us slow down, connect with nature, and live in the moment - and this supports our mental health and wellbeing. We are passionate about sharing our land, animals and indoor and outdoor spaces to help others flourish.

Hannah - "I have worked as a teacher and Special Educational Needs coordinator. I love spending time with the animals at May Blossom Farm, getting to know their individual characters. I built the vegetable patch at the farm and love working with groups to make soup lunches from our home grown vegetables.

My favourite animal at the farm is Molly the goat."

John - "I am a musician and I love building structures for arts events and working with people. I built the barn at May Blossom Farm, and enjoy running music workshops there. I have skills in construction, landscaping and painting and decorating, as well as children's adventure play.

My favourite animal at the farm is our hand-reared sheep Cleo."

Management & Governance

May Blossom Farm is a Community Interest Company, meaning we keep our commuity at the heart of everything we do. We are here to support and facilitate our community, and rely on our Board of Non-Executives to guide our company in order to help us achieve our goal;

To provide a place for us all to flourish!

Russel has over 30 years experience working as a children and families social worker and until recently was Direcor of Childrens Services for Children and Young People will Additional Needs at a large county council. He currently works for Ofsted, inspecting Children's social work services with a specialism in additional needs across the 0-25 age range.

"I was delighted to be asked to join the board of May Blossom because I really believe in what Hannah and John are doing. I am equally delighted to see the farm progressing so well and especially that it so well supported by the local community.

I do not live in the area so sadly I am unable to visit the farm very often, but I hope I bring useful experience to the board, and I look forward to seeing the farm thrive and providing a valued service to young people in the area."

Joyce spent many years before retiring as a social worker, working across all of the adult groups, including mental health, learning disabilities and hospital social work. Since retiring she has been both a volunteer and trustee for several local charities, including Hope 4, the Benn Partnership Centre, Together for Change and is currently also a churchwarden at St Andrews Church in Rugby.

"I love being a trustee at May Blossom Farm as it grows into a wonderful place for everyone to enjoy. My favourite animals are the goats, they are just so intelligent and friendly."
