How it all began...

Founding directors, Hannah and John Frenett developed May Blossom Farm initially as a smallholding, raising pigs, sheep and goats. Realising how much it helped their well-being to spend at the farm, in 2023 they decided to share the love.

"We are passionate about sharing our land, animals and indoor and outdoor spaces to help others flourish."

Hannah - "I am a teacher and Special Educational Needs coordinator. I love spending time with the animals at May Blossom Farm, getting to know their individual characters. I have really enjoyed connecting with the Home Educating community, running sessions themed around nature and the natural world.

My favourite animal at the farm is Molly the goat."

John - "I am a musician and I love building structures for arts events and working with people. I have a background in children's adventure play. I built the barn at May Blossom Farm, developing a music rehearsal space for local bands. I enjoy working with young people to build their confidence and develop their skills.

My favourite animal at the farm is our hand-reared sheep Cleo."

He currently works for Ofsted, inspecting Children's social work services with a specialism in additional needs across the 0-25 age range.

"I was delighted to be asked to join the board of May Blossom because I really believe in what Hannah and John are doing. I am equally delighted to see the farm progressing so well and especially that it so well supported by the local community.

I do not live in the area so sadly I am unable to visit the farm very often, but I hope I bring useful experience to the board, and I look forward to seeing the farm thrive and providing a valued service to young people in the area."

Joyce spent many years before retiring as a social worker, working across all of the adult groups, including mental health, learning disabilities and hospital social work. Since retiring she has been both a volunteer and trustee for several local charities, including Hope 4, the Benn Partnership Centre, Together for Change and is currently also a churchwarden at St Andrews Church in Rugby.

"I love being a trustee at May Blossom Farm as it grows into a wonderful place for everyone to enjoy. My favourite animals are the goats, they are just so intelligent and friendly."
